About Us

Print With Us

We are offering Risograph Printing Services and would love to work with you!Priority to unique, experimental projects and zines/booklets.

What is a Risograph?

The Risograph is a stencil duplicator. Think of it as a cross between screen printing and photocopying. The Riso prints one color at a time in bright, vibrant colors. It is ideal for posters, graphic prints, zines, comics, and other graphic arts. Risograph printers were designed and released in Japan in the 1980s as a way to print efficiently and economically. The interesting thing about using a risograph to print your work is that it's never a perfect representation of your image, but that adds to the quality and style which is
where the machine plays its part in the collaborative process.

What Size can I print?

We have a SF5130 Risograph model.

With this machine we are able to print any size between 4” x 6” and 8 1/4” x 14 1/6”. Allow for  a .25” border on all side of the image. A full bleed is possible only if trimmed down.

Colors

Risograph machines use pre-mixed, soy-based inks. The colors can be used with transparency to make an overlapping effect, creating a variety additional colors. Our current colors are Black, Cornflower Blue and Flourescent Pink.

Paper

The risograph likes uncoated paper between 60lb text to 80lb cover. We currently do not carry paper stock, but we’re happy to to help you pick out the right paper for your job and order it to our studio. Some of our fav sites are Mohawk and French Paper.
